One Year Membership / Studio Introduction
Print Clan are happy to offer a discount on our annual membership to current students and recent graduates who have experience with textile screen printing. Ideal for students wanting to print large scale projects outside of university, or graduates wishing to continue their creative practice.
The price for new members includes one year membership to Print Clan as well as an introduction to our High Street studio. This session is designed to get to know you and your printing requirements for your projects as well as to introduce you to the equipment and processes at our studio. We will take your through the screen preparation process end to end and give you one on one technical help to get your project started. You are welcome to stay and print for the remainder of the day once the session has finished. After you have completed your introduction session, studio time can be booked via our website.
New members are required to have basic knowledge and experience of the screen printing process. If you don’t have sufficient knowledge to be fairly independent in the studio we recommend booking onto one of our courses or using our one to one consultancy option.
After paying for this option please email us at hello@printclan.co.uk to book a date for your induction, and provide proof of current student status (e.g. a valid student ID) or evidence that you graduated no more than one year ago. If this cannot be provided we will ask you to pay £12 before using the facilities.
During this session you will be shown how to:
- prepare and print your artwork
- coat and expose a screen
- prepare a section of the print table and your fabric for printing
- mix 100g of ink using our transparent FF binder
Everyone using the studio must attend this session prior to booking daily hire. We will also ask you to read and sign our Membership Pack. If you would like to download and review this before coming to the studio, you can get your copy here.
The session includes the opportunity to prepare a screen using your artwork and create sample prints. Please feel free to bring along the artwork you would like to use on the day on a memory stick or send it to us via email in advance. You will also need fabric or garments to print on.
Once you have attended this session, we will ensure that you are trained to use any new equipment that we acquire over a one year period from the session date. We retain the right to charge you a revised membership fee as the studio grows and offer more services.
Student / Recent Graduate Membership Terms & Conditions
You must be able to provide valid evidence of your current student status (e.g. university I.D.), or evidence that you graduated no more than one year before the start of your membership. This must be for a college or university accredited qualification. If this cannot be provided we will ask you to pay £12 before you can use the facilities.
Once your annual membership has expired you will be required to pay the renewal fee of £26 if you wish to continue using the studio.
