Membership Terms and Conditions

Please note that to become a member of Print Clan you are required to have basic knowledge and experience of the screen printing process. If you don’t have sufficient knowledge to be fairly independent in the studio we recommend booking onto one of our courses or using our one to one consultancy option.

During your induction you will be shown how to:
- prepare and print your artwork
- coat and expose a screen
- prepare a section of the print table and your fabric for printing
- mix 100g of ink using our transparent FF binder

Everyone using the studio must attend this session prior to booking daily hire. We will also ask you to read and sign our Membership Pack. If you would like to download and review this before coming to the studio, you can get your copy here. The session includes the opportunity to prepare a screen using your artwork and create sample prints. Please feel free to bring along the artwork you would like to use on the day on a memory stick or send it to us via email in advance. You will also need fabric or garments to print on.

We will ensure that you are trained to use any new equipment that we acquire over a one year period from the session date. We retain the right to charge you a revised membership fee as the studio grows and offer more services. Once you have attended the induction membership is non-refundable.

Concession Rates Terms and Conditions

A discounted membership is available to individuals who are: students; graduates (valid for one year post-graduation); senior citizens (aged 65+); unemployed/jobseekers; disabled; or referred by one of our selected third sector partner organisations (ESOL Scotland, Articulate Trust, The Marie Trust, Govanhill Baths, Slaghammers, Empower Women for Change, Protests and Suffragettes and Music Broth)

Photocopied or digital proof of status must be provided in person or via email to hello@printclan.co.uk after purchase to validate the concession rate. If this cannot be provided, you will be required to pay the difference to a full-priced membership before you can use the facilities.

Once your annual membership has expired, you will be required to pay the standard renewal fee of £26 if you wish to continue using the studio.

Accessibility
Our aim is to bring screen printing to as many people as possible, but unfortunately our studio is not wheelchair accessible.

We require members to be able to work independently, safely, and confidently within the print studio environment.

The Print Clan studio is a small, shared space, and for health and safety reasons, every person present must be an inducted member and confident in using the facilities. Therefore, with regret, we cannot currently facilitate a member bringing a carer to assist them.

We encourage anyone interested in screen printing who has care needs, is a wheerlchair user or are unable to work independently in the studio, to attend our Print Club. Print Club is a carer-friendly space held at a wheelchair-accessible venue, designed to be welcoming and supportive for all participants. You can find out more here.

For safety reasons only those over the age of 16 can become members.
