Arianna's Blog

Hello!

Here is Arianna, I work full time for Print Clan and I am here to ensure that the studio will survive anything, literally anything, including a worldwide pandemic.

I just wanted to steal the blog space for once to thank everyone who has been supporting Print Clan in the last year and half. It has been a difficult time but we really hope that the light at the end of the tunnel is not just a mirage and is in fact real so we will be able to have more and more people in the studio soon.

Print Clan’s Board of Directors has recently seen some big changes too, and we are delighted to welcome Cassandra and Charlie to the longstanding board of myself and Mika. I feel extremely lucky that these three extremely talented individuals have decided to be my mentors and friends, helping me with running the studio.

Despite all odds our membership numbers have risen in the last year and we are so glad that our family is growing and becoming richer with so many different printers. To our longest standing members goes a special THANK YOU: Fraser, Orla, David & Diane. It is thanks to members like them who have heavily invested time and finances in the studio that we own so much more that we will ever be able to return.

We have recently received funding through Firstport. This means I am finally able to dedicate 100% of myself to the studio together with Suzie. Our aim now is to make this a sustainable business whilst keeping our prices accessible to everyone. This means running more courses, launching more residency programmes and expanding our community engagement.

Print Clan belongs to you and it’s here to fill a long overdue gap in Glasgow for an accessible textile screen printing studio. We can support small to large scale projects from t-shirt printers to fine artists; we can teach total beginners and work on a consultancy basis with expert printers. We offer a large variety of professional textile inks and dyes as well as equipment, we can support experimental textile projects with dyes - devoré or discharge printing in a safe and well equipped environment so you don’t have to do it at home.

I look forward to seeing you here at the studio for some printing fun.

My most sincere thanks to all of you.

Arianna
